Wayne has been wheelchair curling for one year. He lives in Kenora, Ontario and is an avid sports fan who enjoys fishing and hunting.  He is employed by the Ontario Ministry of Correctional Services as a Youth Probation Officer

Mark Wherrett - vice

Club: Dryden Golf and Curling Club - Dryden, Ontario

Mark lives in Dryden and in the past has been involved with the Canadian Paraplegic Association. Mark has curled for one year and has competed in wheelchair basketball, tennis and racquetball. Mark enjoys his full-time job as a retired sports enthusiast.

Carl Levesque - skip

Club: Fort William Curling Club - Thunder Bay, Ontario

Carl has curled for one year and is a competitive pool player who has competed in Las Vegas tournaments.  He is an avid NASCAR fan who also enjoys golfing in his motorized scooter.

Sharon LaFroye - lead

Club: Fort William Curling Club - Thunder Bay, Ontario

Sharon has curled for two years and in the past has competed in wheelchair basketball. Sharon in employed as a dispatcher for the specialized transit system in Thunder Bay and keeps everybody on schedule.

Richard Bell - alternate

Club: Fort William Curling Club Thunder Bay, Ontario

Rick has curled for one year and is an avid sportsman who enjoys fishing and playing pool. He is a retiree who in his former years has successfully competed in a variety of sports and particularly enjoys participating and contributing in team events.

Coach Dave Kawahara (standing)

Club: Fort William Curling Club Thunder Bay, Ontario

Dave has been an able-bodied curler for the past 40 years and initiated wheelchair curling in Thunder Bay in October, 2006.  He is a retiree who continues to enjoy part-time teaching at the community college in Thunder Bay.  While curling is his game in the winter, golf is his passion in the summer.
